Honor Her

Honor Her is a part-photography, part-storytelling project aimed to honor women who are Mothers. Iritisen captivated everyday life as a mama with meaning-rich images that highlight the various stages of motherhood. Honor Her depicts emotion and highlights the relationships that bind mothers and their children.

Iritisen Muhammad is a healer, documentary photographer, artist, birth worker and auntie from the Southside of Chicago. “Honor Her” is a passion project of her’s that collided her heart's passions: family, fashion and storytelling. Mothers are to be honored, adored and cherished. “Honor Her” provided mamas and their children the opportunity to have deeper conversations about their experiences, insights and perspectives.

All mama were styled by Iritisen. The clothes they wore ignited their style and story. Holistic Kinship is a space for all families to have healing, hope and holistic meaningful, intuitive care. I am here, cultivating safe spaces whilst documenting ou stories!

Motherhood is transformative.
