Mama Emma, connecting and confident!

Postpartum Virtual Breastfeeding Support

I had my son around the same time as a friend. Iris was her postpartum doula, and when she heard I was having trouble breastfeeding she offered to video call me to help. Iris was so kind a compassionate when speaking with me. She listened to all my anxieties and asked a bunch of questions. She made me feel so understood which meant the world to me as a clueless, new mom. Iris reminded me that connecting with my baby is the main priority. She gave me confidence in my role as a momma to my son. She also gave me practical tips to help correct what was going on with his latch. She gave me enough encouragement to keep breastfeeding when I was ready to throw in the towel. I am so grateful for her help!
